Sizing and Width

The greatest causes of foot problems are due to wearing faulty or ill-fitting shoes. Many footcare experts warn that poorly fitting shoes can lead to problems such as bunions, corns, calluses, hammertoes, and Morion's Neuroma (inflammation of a nerve). It follows then, proper fitting shoes should be the first step in taking care of your feet. Fit is a function of length, width, and shape. We are able to provide a superior fit to our customers because we take the time to measure each foot, noting length, width, and shape, and then showing the customers what shoes would fit them best. Our staff is knowledgeable not only in the fitting of shoes, but also in the type of shoes we stock. By stocking shoes in a variety of different widths, depths, and shapes we can ensure a better fit for our customers. Also, due to our knowledge of shoe construction we can adjust many of our shoes to account for such fitting problems as slightly mis-mated feet sizes or minor foot abnormalities.

It is very important to remember that there in no set standard within the shoe industry for sizing and width. In other words, a size 7 C from Company A may fit entirely different than a size 7 C from Company B. This is because each company makes shoes to their own specific sizing standards and on different lasts.
